As I flew today on my way to Cleveland, Ohio, I was amazed at the pure creation of God. The below image has No edits. No filters. No man-made anything. Just the beauty of His handiwork.

Looking out the plane window, I was struck by the brilliance of the sun, the ever-shifting cloudscape, and the way the sky seemed to stretch on endlessly.
Wonder filled me.
I wanted to freeze time—just to sit and soak it in.
Then suddenly… we entered a cloud.
Turbulence shook the plane. Visibility disappeared. A luggage compartment popped open.
The same sky that had just brought awe and peace now stirred fear and discomfort.
I felt the shift in my soul.
But just as quickly as it came, the turbulence passed, and the sky opened up again in full, dazzling clarity.
And I realized something:
🌫️ The Same Clouds Can Bring Wonder… and Fear
How often do we walk with God and suddenly hit a cloud— A moment where we can’t see what’s ahead… Where things feel confusing, disorienting, even scary?
We try to look above, below, around… and see nothing. We feel stuck. Directionless. Alone.
I’ve watched people of great faith lose heart in these moments. Not because they stopped loving God—but because clouds distort our sense of reality.
They block the light. They block our view.
But they don’t block God.
🙏 Faith is for the Cloud Moments
Hebrews 11:1 says:
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
If faith is for what we cannot see, then clouds are where faith must live.
If we’re not careful, we’ll start avoiding the moments that require faith. We’ll start building lives based only on what we can understand and control.
We’ll try to eliminate anything that feels like turbulence.
But what if the clouds are part of the journey? What if they’re not something to fear—but a place to trust?
✈️ Embrace the Clouds. Enjoy the Flight.
This plane ride reminded me:
Life with God will include moments where you can’t see.
But those moments don’t mean He’s left you. They don’t mean you’re off course.
They simply mean it’s time to trust the Pilot.
Don’t panic when life requires faith. Welcome it. Don’t fear the cloud—He’s in it with you.
The wonder is still there—just behind the veil.
Enjoy the flight with Abba.
Be dependent.

💬 Reflective Question:
Are you currently in a “cloud moment” where God is asking you to trust without seeing?
