Time is important, but what we do with it matters more.

This has been challenging me in the time I have placed aside to hang out with God.
Time is important, but what we do with it matters more.

It just has changed some things in my life and I hope it can do the same for you.

Jesus doesn’t really care how much you are “in worship” or “in praise” or “in prayer.”
All He desires is that He has our heart in those times. Not just us making noise.

Not just us whining on how much we need Him, but in faith, confessing how we know He is going to do what He says He is going to do.

The desire for our hearts is the essence of the verse “He is looking for those who Worship in Spirit and in Truth.”

God doesn’t need your worship. But He wants your heart.

Worship just comes along side when you give your heart.

He doesn’t care how long you spend in prayer or worship if He is not getting your heart in that time.

He wants an honest real you. Not the person you put on when having a bad day to cover up that no one can see it.

He wants everything. The real you.
Your wounds, pain, anger, bitterness, lust, pride, lies, failures, sickness, disease, depression, fear, anxiety, disorders, brokenness.

He wants you.
He doesn’t care how you show up.
But He does care how you leave;
That you are not the same.

Jesus has to be the center, and when He is, all things will just be washed and removed that is not of Him or from Him.

Do our hearts have the motives of “who is watching me? So I must be this way.”
Or are we moving for the audience of the One?

We must reach a point of complete Truth and realness from Our Heart in our time spent with God.

Not more time.

When we do this we finally start releasing our will, and become to the point of abiding in Him.
Allowing Him to graft us into His character and promises.

I feel like He could care less about the amount of time spent with Him if we are not being real and really giving our heart to Him in that “amount of time.”

Doesn’t mean He doesn’t care if you don’t, but it’s like us just making noise which He still listens to, but when we give Him our hearts and are real in that time, it is a sweet incense and I feel like it moves His heart.

Giving time to Him is important, it’s extremely, but it is more about what we do with it when we are giving it.

When Jesus is the center we will stop striving, and start abiding.

Everything we have been searching for is in Him and from Him.

Jesus. He is all, He says He is.
He is faithful to us when everyone is faithless in us.

He is “I Am,” what ever you are in need of He is it!

Freedom? I Am.
Healer? I Am.
Joy? I Am.
Justice? I Am.
Love? I Am.
Provider? I Am.
Grace? I Am.
Forgiveness? I Am.
Truth? I Am.
Mercy? I Am.

When we give Him our hearts in the time we surrender to Him, the I Am, can finally do what He promises He can do, and be all those things He promises He is.
But it all starts with us giving our hearts and being real, and just abiding in Him in the time, not trying to give more time.
