If you are not wanting a challenging post from my thoughts, I almost would skip this one to be honest..
I urge you to not get so caught up in the touch of God as I was. Hear me out for a second.
We get caught up as Christians sometimes in the touch and the feeling that God gives us that we start to seek Him because of the “sensation” He brought us. Or how we heard Him when we where at a certain church.
I’m sorry to disappoint you, but God is everywhere, whether when you are at your favorite pastor’s church or at a church you “are not being fed at.”
We are meant to be self feeders, we are meant to dig into the word ourselves to become mature, not just walk through church doors expecting someone else to feed us.
Also He has probably been just waiting for you to silence your thoughts and mouth that you may be able to hear His leading and His shepherds voice.
We get caught up in the noise of this life too much that we think God is not speaking through a certain Pastor or Leader any more, No, why don’t we silence our minds during the sharing of the Good News and get our mind off of All the cares of this world, and truly tune into and trust that God Is going to speak to us and plant some seeds in us.
He might even challenge us to live different, or encourage us to keep going, or just Love on us when we are feeling weak and broken, or Heal us when we are sick, or needs us in those moments to grab hold of the promises that He has for us from the Word.
We miss it too often, we miss ALL those things because we are caught up in someone In the church on how they smell or are acting.
We might even be caught up in how that person in front of you at church hurt us or offended us, or caught up in a situation that we are trying to rationalize in our minds, but if we only took control for 20 minutes and stopped thinking to listen for what God has for us daily we might just hear how to get through it, or out of it.
But we don’t, because we don’t “feel” Him.
Maybe we are not “feeling Him” because we are not seeking Him with all of our heart. We are seeking Him with our minds, not our spirit, not our inner man. Our inner man is the one that gets the answers we have been seeking for, not our mind.
We must get out of being caught up in the touch, and just seek God for being our Father, not for any other reason other then Love.
His touch is just a by product of His Love. It shouldn’t be what we are seeking. Let’s be the people that are just trying to give back to the Man everything we have, because He gave everything for us…
